Full-Time Brand Strategist (Cincinnati, OH)

The Opportunity


4Sight is a rapidly growing startup that was founded by an ex-P&G executive. Since 2018, we have worked to build a small, entrepreneurial team that thrives on learning, continuous improvement and problem solving. We are thinkers, dreamers and builders who are naturally both creative and strategic.

 

Our company specializes in mining brands’ largest consumer data set—user-generated content, such as consumer reviews and social media—to uncover consumer truths.

This authentic, unfiltered consumer data, which is one of the most influential factors in today’s ever-growing eCommerce market, can be used to extract actionable insights about our clients’ brands and their competitors. Currently, we mostly serve the CPG industry—including some of the world’s biggest brands at companies like Procter & Gamble, Clorox, Energizer and many more.

 

4Sight’s Brand Strategy group leads the strategic thinking and insights generation for our clients, bringing analytical expertise to each engagement. Our process begins when our Operations team extracts relevant user-generated content. From there, our Data Scientists apply proprietary 4Sight algorithms and metrics—leveraging machine learning, natural language processing and text analytics—to produce digestible data sets that the Brand Strategists then draw insights from. These actionable insights and recommendations are prepared in written reports and presentations.

 

As a Brand Strategist at 4Sight, you will:

  • Lead quantitative and qualitative analysis, extracting patterns that no machine can always see. Quantitative data is synthesized by the Data Science team who provides graphs, charts and other outputs for the Brand Strategist to interpret. Qualitative data is reviewed to provide added context and detail around the quantitative output.

  • Draw insights, summarize findings and develop recommendations for the client brand(s), captured in a succinct and compelling report/presentation. Findings and recommendations are action-oriented, ensuring the brand has clear and actionable next steps so clients can integrate learnings into their work streams and measure impact.

  • Serve as a strategic partner for a variety of clients in multiple industries, through integration of consumer data, prior experience and industry/client knowledge. Clients’ functional areas span marketing, innovation, sales and R&D. Ability to adapt to client’s specific needs and requirements is important.

  • Lead presentation of findings with clients in a compelling and professional manner. The ability to explain techniques and findings in a simple, yet insightful manner is important.

  • Provide unscripted strategic counsel when necessary, including answering of client questions and follow-ups. Ability to “think on your feet” without disrupting strategic direction is key.

  • Manage client work streams ensuring the deliverables are completed on time, while meeting both internal and external deadlines. Attention to detail and time management are very important.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including clients and internal teams, such as Data Science, Operations and Business Development. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills are necessary.

  • Display entrepreneurial attitude with “can-do” mentality and roll-up-your-sleeves mindset. No drama attitude is important given growing business.

  • Work closely with 4Sight Brand Strategy team to ensure personal development and growth. Current team experience spans multiple industries and applications.

 

 

You're a great fit for this position if you have:

  • B.S. or M.B.A degree in marketing, marketing research, psychology or related field

  • 2+ years of data analytics, market research, manufacturer/client (esp. CPG) and/or agency/consulting experience

  • Some experience in data analysis, identifying patterns, crafting/writing stories from data, presenting and discussing related results with clients

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong project management/time management skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel required
